That's why I asked this ;)
It's not like other expansion packs for strategy games, such as Alien Crossfire with Alpha Centauri, which is a convencional expansion in the sense you cannot play Alpha Centauri without Alien Crossfire additions nor Alien Crossfire without some essential Alpha Centauri content.

You're right in that they are quite different. But if Empire Earth 1 isn't installed, Art of Conquest won't run. So they can't separate them.

Shouldn't they? I mean: The Art of Conquest is a standalone game. It requires you to open it by clicking another executable file.
It feels kind of odd if you run 'Empire Earth GOLD' and Galaxy actually runs the first installment. For launching the expansion, I have to go to the same menu where options and manuals are.. so it feels kind of odd for me.
Since the last update, games that actually contain other games (Tomb Raider 1+2+3, Ultima trilogy, etc.) have a different slot in Library (Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider 2, Tomb Raider 3, Ultima, Ultima II, Ultima III, etc.). Could it be applied to Empire Earth too?
Thankyou very much, GOG team!

Tallima: It's not a stand-alone game. It's an expansion pack.
It's an expansion pack that requires you to execute another file. So you have two different games: Empire Earth (which has 4 campaigns) and Empire Earth: The Art of Conquest (which has 3). Although they share many files, this expansion is treated like a different game. That's why I asked this ;)
