Delete Card From Netflix

When paying bills, or making purchases online, you need to use your credit card. Many times your Internet browser will save this information so that you will not have to fill it in again. Sometimes the website you are using installs a cookie on your computer and saves your information. You computer might save your information as a temporary file that is not deleted. No matter the reason, your credit card number and expiration date could be saved on your computer where hackers could steal it. You should delete your browser history and temporary files frequently.

Delete Browser Files

Delete browser history by finding browser history in the General tab and clicking on Delete.

Check the boxes of all the information you want to delete in the window that pops up. Form data and temporary internet files and cookies should be checked. Click on delete.

Delete Temporary Files

Step 1

Open the start menu and select search. In the search results screen that pops up select 'all files and folders'.

Step 2

In the box under 'all or part of the file name' type *.tmp, which will bring up all the files ending in .tmp. These are temporary files that your computer is storing because you ended an Iternet session in an irregular way and should be deleted.

Delete these files. Click to edit then select 'select all' from the drop down menu. Click on file and select 'delete' from that drop-down menu. Your computer will ask you if you want to delete these files, click 'yes.'

Tip

  • Clear your Internet history and your computer's temporary files regularly. According to Clean History, Some temporary files can end in something other than .tmp so clean your temporary caches manually as well.

Warning

  • If you get a error message when deleting temporary files it is probably because a program is running that is using the file. Shut down all programs and try it again.
